Masquerade
Oh isn’t she beautiful?
No flaws in her perfect mask.
Everybody looks great behind a paper face.
No one’s ugly in a masquerade,
No one has any faults.
Those out of place, out of dress,
We ignore,
Where are their masks anyway?
You’re never fully dressed
Without a proper façade.
It’s just so much easier to fake it.
Who needs reality,
Connections,
Fellowship,
Love?
We’ve got fragile beauty
And sequined eyes.
It’s oh so much better.
