Regrets and Endings

Regrets and Endings

Piece together the broken puzzle of my life,
We live in a time where we’re over before we begin.
So why begin at all?
When the end result will always be,
The plush velvet lining that our eyes will
Stare blankly at for all eternity.
The gravity of what we’ve done
Weighs heavily upon our shoulders,
Bringing us down closer to the end.
I refuse to hang my head,
I will lift my chin up high
For I am no one to be tamed.
And do you believe in fairy tales?
Will it all come together in the end?
Press your hands to mine
And try to forget it all.
