Once Upon A Time
You found your “once upon a time”,
You found your fairy tale ending.
Mine doesn’t exist.
That’s right.
I used to believe in fairy tales,
But slowly my faith wore thin.
Over time I realized,
That my Prince Charming was never coming,
That he’d abandoned me in my times of need.
I’ve got nothing to prove my worth,
Not the tiara,
Nor the throne,
Or the white steed.
I don’t have the kiss to break the enchanted sleep,
And I certainly don’t have the magic carpet and the genie.
I never got my chance to wish upon a star,
And there aren’t any thrilling song and dance numbers in my life.
Welcome to the real fairy tale,
Welcome to my “Once upon a time”.
