I lie awake and wonder
are you thinking of me too?
Is this just a joke to you?
Do I mean anything at all
or is it just foolish to fall
for you?

Your words seem clever,
yeah I read them whenever,
whenever I feel doubt
about this working out.
But I can’t seem to understand
why you just up and ran.
Yeah I know you don’t have time,
not enough to make you mine.

You’re pushing me away
I just wish you would stay
please don’t walk away.
