Her –
Nervous glances interchanged.
He let’s his gaze slip away,
But I saw him watching me
Out of the corner of my eye.
I watch him,
Silent in my observance, my obsession.
He smiles but I know…
That smile’s not meant for me.
Him –
She drops her gaze away from mine.
Her shy façade comes rushing back.
In her down turned face,
I see an angel.
A brown-eyed, red-haired angel,
Beautiful in her silence.
I know she’s watching.
I smile at the thought but I know…
She’ll think the smile’s not meant for her.
